Eight women will join the bench
The Department of Justice named eight judges on May 22, including Ontario human rights commissioner Renu Mandhane and Law Society of Ontario bencher Gina Papageorgiou.
Also joining the bench will be Barrie sole practitioner Pamela Krause; Susan Vella, counsel at Rochon Genova LLP in Toronto; Audrey Ramsay, counsel at Blouin Dunn LLP in Toronto; Narissa Somji, counsel at the Public Prosecution Service of Canada in Ottawa; Jana Steele, partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP; and Catriona Verner, associate at Lockyer Campbell Posner LLP in Toronto,
The new judges will preside in the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, said the announcement by Attorney General David Lametti.
