Wildeboer Dellelce has welcomed Leonard Lee as a partner in its real estate practice group and Daniel Lupinacci as a lawyer in its debt products practice group.

Lee has more than two decades of experience in real estate and land development. In a news release, the firm called him “a trusted and accomplished advisor in the real estate sector.”

His transactional experience includes assisting with acquiring and selling industrial, retail, and vacant properties and commercial leasing. He has served as borrower and lender counsel in real estate lending transactions, the firm’s news release said.

Lee’s experience beyond his transactional work covers litigation management, corporate governance, labour and employment matters, and regulatory compliance, the news release added.

Before joining Wildeboer Dellelce, Lee was general counsel at Atria Development Corporation, a Toronto-based real estate developer focused on purpose-built rental developments in the GTA.

In that role, he spearheaded the legal strategy on various matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and construction agreements, the firm’s news release said. He also advised senior executives and negotiated complex agreements.

Before that, Lee was senior legal counsel at Orlando Corporation in Mississauga and a Toronto-based associate at McCarthy Tétrault LLP and Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, his LinkedIn page said.

He earned his LLB from the University of Windsor in 2003 and admission to the Ontario bar in 2004, according to his bio on the firm’s website.

“We look forward to the leadership and strategic insight Len will bring to our Real Estate practice group and firm as we continue to grow,” the firm said in its news release.

New lawyer

In its news release, Wildeboer Dellelce said Lupinacci’s “background and experience make him a valuable addition.”

His experience spans the areas of banking, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and general corporate and commercial law, the firm’s news release said.

Before joining Wildeboer Dellelce, Lupinacci was an associate in Stikeman Elliott LLP’s banking and finance group in Toronto, the news release added. He was also counsel and assistant corporate secretary at the Royal Bank of Canada, where he helped oversee matters involving the board of directors and audit committee.

He obtained his JD from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2019 and became a member of the Ontario bar in 2020.

“His academic achievements and professional experience make him a perfect fit for our firm, and we are excited to see the contributions he will make to our Debt Products practice group,” the firm said in its news release.
